Wicked

One of the most iconic places in any Wicked production is the Emerald City. The vibrant green is very memorable, and resembles the green craze in the Victorian era; arsenic green. The concept revolves around the beautiful green color that is killing the inhabitants of Oz. Before arriving in the Emerald City the colors are subdued with the uniforms at Shiz being black and white. After the visit to the grand city the colors are amplified and Glinda's and Elphaba's iconic outfits reflect this idea.
